Another millenial trying to get ready for whatever life brings
I was raised in a large family with a small budget, so my parents were always looking for ways to make do with what we had. One way they did this was by storing food that would last to have available when we needed it. While I haven’t had the same reasons to store food in my own life, there are others – I live in western Washington where winter storms bring power outages and where an earthquake could bring the region to its knees for a good while. I also have friends and family who sometimes need help. Having food on hand gives me peace of mind that I can share with others in need and feed myself if buying at the store were not an option.
